WSU CAREER. FRESHMAN (2009-10): Indoor - Opened season with 60m hurdles time of 8.92i at WSU Open (1/16/10, Pullman)...ran 400m time of 49.19i for 11th at Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships (2/27/10, Seattle)...ran second leg of distance medley relay for sixth at MPSF meet...Outdoor - Collegiate-best 400m hurdles time of 53.64 at Johnson/Joyner-Kersee meet (4/9/10, Los Angeles)...finished 11th in intermediate hurdles at Pac-10 Championships in time of 55.06.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned six varsity letters at Riverside Christian...earned two varsity letters for cross country under coach Ken Yager...awarded four varsity letters for his dad, track coach Scott Wells...2006 state 110m and 300m hurdles competitor as a freshman...sophomore year was Mid-Valley league champion in both hurdles and 400m relay...relay squad runners-up at state...Crusaders' team won 2007 state title...junior year set five school records - 100m, 200m, 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and 4x100m relay...league champion in 110m, 300m hurdles, 100m dash and 4x100m relay...won state 2B titles in 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles 4x100m relay...team was runner-up at state meet...won 4x400m relay and took third in intermediate hurdles at Washington/Oregon Meet of Champions...senior year (2009) set school records 100m, 200, 400m, 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, 4x100m relay...did not lose a 300m hurdles race all season...won state titles in 110m hurdles (14.86), 300m hurdles and 4x100m relay...placed second at state in 100m dash...led Crusader boys team track championship at state...two-time Mid Valley League Track Athlete of the Year...twice nominated for the Yakima Valley Track Athlete of the Year which was awarded in 2009 to his future WSU teammate, Brett Blanshan (Selah).

PERSONAL. Born in Yakima, Washington in April 1991...father Scott is a school administrator and competed as a 400m hurdler at University of Washington...mother Jennifer is a veterinary technician...enjoys fishing, BMX, video games and paintball...track team was academic state champions in 2008...planning to major in biology.
