Earned 10 letters at Battle Ground High, four each in cross country and track for coaches Sheryl Piper and Dave Lund, and two in basketball for coach Bill Hawk...captained track and basketball teams senior year...earned first team all-league cross country honors in the Greater St. Helens League...received all-league honorable mention honors in basketball...junior year, earned first team all-league honors in 1600m and second team all-league honors in 3200m.

Born Gary Milton Eugene Walsh 5/5/86, at Aberdeen, Wash...father Michael is a teacher and earned his masters degree at WSU...mother Muriel is a project manager...sisters Kristina (3/12/80), Stacey (11/7/82), and Eileen (11/17/84)...Stacey (theatre major) and Eileen (education major) currently attend WSU...enjoys basketball, swimming and snowboarding...interested in pursuing a degree in fashion design.
