WSU CAREER. FRESHMAN (2011-12): Outdoor - Led the team with huge early PR javelin throw of 66.07m/216-9 at USC Trojan Invite (3/24/12, Los Angeles)...finished eighth in javelin at Pac-12 Championships with throw of 63.18m/207-7...at NCAA West Prelims threw 65.22m/214-0 for 16th.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned six varsity letters at Union High...three as an offensive lineman/linebacker for football coach Cole Piland...three track letters as javelin thrower for coach Mike Burdick...football team was 13-1 and runner-up in state 3A title game...junior year football team 11-2 and third in state...senior season team was 7-3...named first team All-Greater St. Helens League linebacker...selected all-region linebacker...accorded silver hammer award for hardest hitter...during track finished seventh in state 3A javelin as junior and second place as senior...threw PR of 195-6 at state championships...scholar-athlete all four years...member of Evergreen Storm Track Club coached by Scott Slamp...finished 16th in javelin at USATF Junior National Championships (54.26m/178-0)...also finished ninth at Junior Olympic National Championships.

Born December 1992 in Federal Way, Wash...father Chris is a regional sales manager...mother Bobbi...older brother Chris Jr...older sister Amanda...had 3.6 grade point average at Union High...played in the high school percussion ensemble ranked No. 1 nationally...planning to major in sport management at WSU.
