SOPHOMORE (2011-12): Indoor - Finished 9th in the shot put at the MPSF Championships with PR toss of 13.93m/45-8 1/2i (2/25/12, Seattle)...tossed 20# weight at Cougar Indoor for distance of 9.97m/32-8 1/2i...Outdoor - Heaved shot put a PR distance of 13.99m/45-10 3/4 at WSU-UW Dual Meet (4/28/12, Pullman)...also tossed hammer at same meet distance of 28.55m/126-6...top discus throw of season was 39.66m/130-1...11th in shot put at Pac-12 Championships (13.20m/43-3 3/4)...named to Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention team.

FRESHMAN (2010-11): Indoor - Reached shot put PR of 13.68m/44-10 3/4i at WSU Open II (2/19/11, Pullman)...finished 12th in shot at Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships (12.49/40-11 3/4i)...Outdoor - Season-best shot put mark was 13.19m/43-3 1/4 at Oregon-Washington Clash IV...finished 12th in shot at Pac-10 Championships (12.32m/40-5)...best discus mark of 40.41m/132-7 at WSU-UW Dual meet (4/29/11, Seattle).

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned nine varsity letters at Hermiston High...three letters in soccer for coach Joe Cobb, two letters in basketball for coach Steve Hueffert, and four letters in track and field for coach Dave Rohrman...captained all three teams senior year...on the soccer pitch, twice named All-Intermountain League second team as goalie...senior season basketball team took fourth in state...named hoops' team most inspirational player...during track, was league shot put champion twice and discus champion once...as a junior won state 5A discus championship, placed third in shot put...senior season broke school record in discus (42.44m/139-3)...repeated as state 5A discus champion...added state shot put title.

PERSONAL. Born in February 1992 in Walla Walla...parents Dennis and Catherine...Dennis is an accountant...six brothers and two sisters...older sister Katherine played softball at Eastern Oregon, older brothers Paul and John played football at Carroll College, and older sister Anne competed in track at Idaho...3.89 GPA and earned Honors Diploma...DECA club president, yearbook editor...Umatilla County scholar-athlete...major area of study at WSU is undecided.
