FRESHMAN (1997-98): Indoor - Best pole vault effort was tied for school record 2.89m/9-5 3/4i (2/20/98, Ypsilanti)...started indoor season also running 55m and 200m dashes...Outdoor - Set school record with NCAA provisional qualifying 3.40m/11-1 3/4 pole vault for first place at Len Paddock Invitational (5/15/98, Ann Arbor)...vaulted to 12th place at Drake Relays at 3.15m/10-4 (4/24/98, Drake).
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned seven letters at Winston Churchill High - four as a sprinter and long jumper for coach Kelly Graham and three in cross country for coaches Jeff Martus, John McGrevey and Sue Tatigian...named most valuable FRESHMAN on track team...as a JUNIOR ran 200m dash in 26.6...named second team all-conference...earned best field events award from team...during SENIOR year named cross country all-conference honorable mention...long jumped 16-11...repeated as best field events award...also named MVP.
