Cougar T&F Reach Season and Lifetime-bests at Stanford Invite

WSU completes first day of two-day Stanford meet.

PRE-WSU CAREER. Freshman year at San Joaquin Delta College (Stockton, Calif.) played basketball on state runner-up team...during track season at state meet placed sixth in triple jump and seventh in long jump...transferred to Laney College (Oakland, Calif.) for sophomore year...finished second in state in long jump, third in triple jump and third in high jump...broke school triple jump record with leap of 11.90m/39-0 1/2...named field events MVP.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned nine varsity letters at Vallejo Senior High...one in volleyball for coach John Acac...four in basketball for coach Shamone Warren...four in track for coach Jerry Coleman...on the basketball court led team in rebounds as freshman and team went to second round of playoffs...named to All-San Joaquin League honorable mention twice, all-league once and MVP as senior...sophomore year hoops team advanced to DII Sections for first time in Vallejo High history...junior year basketball team advanced to third round of playoffs...senior season named all-tournament team as Apaches advanced to second round of playoffs...during track and field prep career named all-league in high jump and triple jump four straight years...added all-league in 100m hurdles as soph...second team all-league in long jump three times and 300m hurdles once...competed in state meet as junior and as senior finished ninth in high jump...broke school's 16-year old triple jump record with leap of 38-1w.

Born in June 1990 in Vallejo, California...father Lawrance played football at Texas Christian University...mother Gloria...brothers Christopher and Larcell...received Vernon James Scholarship...won community service award...enjoys drawing and collecting key chains...general sciences major with interest in marketing.
