Earned eight letters at Reno High, four in cross country for coach Bruce Susong, and four in track for coach Dan Anderson...captain of cross country team as senior...all-state cross country selection as junior and senior...member of state champion 4x800 relay team, setting state record...finished third in state in 800m and 1600m as senior...track team finished first in state as senior...member of state champion 4x800 relay as freshman and sophomore...selected as All-American for Junior Olympics as sophomore, junior and senior...All-American Junior Olympics in sophomore through senior years.
