Sickle Cell Trait Testing Form

IN ORDER TO TRYOUT
►Turn in a copy of a physical from within 12 months of tryout dates
►Turn in a copy of the Sickle Cell Trait Testing form (Requires a parent signature if under 18. Please read carefully, you are allowed to check "waive")
►Turn in the "Assumption of Risk" waiver form (Requires a parent signature if under 18)
►Turn in the "Cheerleading Tryout Application" Form with attached picture and $20 fee*
►Must be able to show being accepted into or current student at Washington State University
►Must be able to show a good academic standing of a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher

* Checks can be made out to "Washington State University"

REQUIREMENTS

Tumbling
►Standing Back Handspring
►A combination running pass. (ex: Round-off back handspring series, back tuck, layout or full)

Stunts
►Toss Shoulders
►Toss Extension
►Optional Stunt to a Heel Stretch with Full/Double Twisting Cradle (Ex: Hands to Stretch, Toss Stretch, Full Up, Rewind, etc...)

Cheer (Taught Friday)
►Natural Spiriting, Demeanor, and Smile
►Motion execution, sharpness, and projection
►Standing back handspring or standing back tuck

Fight Song (Taught Friday)
►Natural Spiriting, Demeanor, and Smile
►Motion execution, sharpness and projection
►Standing back handspring or standing back tuck
►Toss Extension

Coach Evaluation

Cuts will be made on the evening of Friday, April 26th, and mid-day on Saturday, April 27th. A final cut will be made to determine the 2013-2014 WSU Cheer Squad on the Sunday, April 28th. There will be a short team meeting following the squad announcement.

During the tryout process you will be asked to stunt with 3 or 4 different partners. I encourage you to stunt with more than one person. You are only allowed to stunt with people trying out or current WSU Cheerleaders. You are not allowed to bring a partner to tryouts.
