We are a team of nine certified athletic trainers (ATC), four team physicians, a registered dietitian and an athletic training services coordinator. Our staff is here to help athletes prevent, treat and recover from injuries while playing for WSU. There are nine full-time athletic trainers who interact with all the student athletes on a daily basis providing care and treatment and rehabilitation. Our ATCs offer a background in sports medicine, orthopedic injuries and an understanding of what it takes to compete at the highest level of college sports.
We have four dedicated team physicians to give expert advice and services and provide expert care and service to all WSU student athletes.
At WSU we also have a sport nutritionist ready and willing to provide information on getting the most out of the food athletes use to fuel their body.
The athletic training room is also a place of learning; the Athletic Training Education Program, offered through the College of Education, allows 40 students the opportunity to learn how to give quality care to highly competitive athletes while working alongside of the full time athletic training staff with enthusiasm, creating a positive environment for the athletic training room.
We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality medical care for our student-athletes through our consistent, coordinated, cutting-edge approach.
Learn about what it means to be a hero: A story about a WSU athletic training student that will always be in our hearts.
