TUCSON, Ariz. (April 10, 2022) – Washington State dropped the series-finale 5-2 but earned a series win over No. 9 Arizona at Hi Corbett Field.
The Cougars (12-19, 4-11 Pac-12) received two hits from Kyler Stancato and a pinch-hit two-run single from Bryce Matthews while Cam Liss worked three scoreless innings of relief and tallied six strikeouts.
WSU clinched their first series in Tucson since 2014, their first road series win over a nationally-ranked team since taking two of three at No. 14 Washington in 2016 and posted their first road series win over a Top-10 team since taking two of three at No. 6/8 Oregon in 2012.

KEY MOMENTS OF THE GAME
In the second, Arizona used a bloop double to left field, a wild pitch and an RBI-groundout to shortstop to take a 1-0 lead.
