Women's Golf to Tee Off in Coeur d'Alene

The team heads to Idaho to compete in the CDA Resort Collegiate Invitational

THIS WEEK: The Washington State University women's golf team will head to Idaho to compete in the CDA Resort Collegiate Invitational in Coeur d'Alene, September 26-27.
 
THE COURSE: The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course is a par 71 with a total of 6,088 yards. Teams will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday morning.

 THE FIELD: The Cougars will face 17 other teams including Pac-12 competitors Oregon State and No.22 Colorado. Joining the rest of the field is Gonzaga, Seattle, San Francisco, Northern Arizona, BYU, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, Colorado State, Hawaii, Fresno State, Idaho, South Dakota State, New Mexico, and Long Beach State.
 
LAST TIME ON THE GREEN: The Cougars are going into the tournament on a high after capturing the WSU Cougar Cup title at Palouse Ridge Golf Course, September 19th. Senior Alivia Brown grabbed her first career title, claiming the first place spot at the event with a three round score of 210(-6). Brown also tied for the second lowest score in Cougar Cup history.
 
REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE: Competing for the Cougar women will be seniors Bree Wanderscheid and Alivia Brown, sophomores Elodie Bridenne and Marie-Lund-Hansen, and redshirt freshman Emily Baumgart.
 
COACHING STAFF: This will be Kelli Kamimura's ninth season as head coach…last season, Kamimura led the Cougars to their second-lowest team scoring average in school history…WSU alumna Emma Betland is entering her third season as assistant coach…Betland golfed for WSU from 2010-2013.
