Cougs Conclude Play in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico: The WSU men's golf team remained in 13^th place after the third and final round of the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The team marked their best round of the tournament, shooting a 300(+12) to add to their three round score of 906(+42). The tournament took place at the UNM Championship Golf Course, September 22-23.

Leading scoring for the Cougars was junior Grant Cole, who tied for 40^th overall. Cole concluded play with a 225(+9), rounding his total out with a third round score of 76(+4).

Senior Brian Mogg and junior AJ Armstrong improved their ranking after the final round, sharing a final score of 226(+10), and leaving them tied with four others for 45^th place.

Sophomore Daniel Kolar had a strong showing early in the round, birdieing four out of the first five holes. Kolar scored an even 36 in the first nine, contributing to his overall score of 74(+2) for the day. He finished out the tournament tied with two others for 77^th place.

The Cougars will have a two week break before competing in the Paintbrush Intercollegiate in Erie, Colorado, October 9-10.
