WSU Rowing to Hold Information Meetings

| By:

All women interested in joining the Cougar rowing program can come to one of two meetings Aug. 22 and 23.

PULLMAN, Wash.- The Washington State University women's rowing team will hold informational meetings on Tuesday, Aug. 22, and Wednesday, Aug. 23 for those interested in becoming a member of the WSU women's rowing team. The meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. each night in the Camp Room of Bohler Gym (you only need to attend one of the two).

Walk-on student-athletes are common to NCAA rowing teams, adding depth to complement recruited rowers from around the world. No experience is required to try out for the novice team. The WSU women's rowing staff is looking for tenacious, hard-working, determined and committed women who are excited by the prospect of being part of a Division I, Pac-12 team.

Women's rowing at WSU is a fully-funded varsity sport that competes in the Pac-12 conference and is looking for walk-on student-athletes to add to the roster.
