PHOENIX – Former Washington State University men's basketball student-athlete,
Ike Iroegbu, has his shot at the NBA as he has been chosen to participate in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League as a member of the Phoenix Suns' roster, the team announced.
The Las Vegas Summer League will run July 7-11 as games will be played at both the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. The Suns open action Friday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. against the Sacramento Kings.
A combination of rookies, second-year and third-year players make up the Suns' 15-man roster, as Iroegbu will be joined by Darion Atkins, Dragan Bender, Marquese Chriss, Shaquille Harrison, Josh Jackson, Mike James, Derrick Jones, Jr., Tré McLean, Chris Obekpa, Alec Peters, Davon Reed, David Stockton, Tyler Ulis and Christian Wood. Peters and Ulis won't play due to injuries.
A native of Sacramento, Calif., Iroegbu graduated from Washington State in May of 2017 following a four-year career where he reached the 1,000-point plateau and ranks 19th all-time in WSU's record books for scoring. He also ranks eighth with 375 career assists.
