NORFOLK, Va. – Washington State swimmers
Addisynn Bursch and
Elise Locke each earned CSCAA Scholar All-America honorable mention, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced Wednesday.

As a team, the Cougars also received Scholar All-America honors after posting a 3.33 team GPA during the spring semester. Teams must have at least a 3.0 team GPA during the semester in which their championship takes place.

Bursch posted a 3.70 GPA during the semester and earned "NCAA B" times in the 200 individual medley and 400 individual medley at the Pac-12 Championships, both were school records. She also earned "NCAA B" in the 100 free at the Pac-12 Championships. Bursch graduated this past May with a bachelor's degree in social sciences.

Locke earned a 3.51 GPA during the academic year and posted a "NCAA B" time in the 200 fly at the Pac-12 Championshoips. Locke earned Pac-12 All-Acadmeic honorable mention and graduated this past May with a bachelor's degree in strategic communication.

Individuals must must achieve a grade point average of 3.50 (semester or academic year) and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships or earn an "NCAA B" team during the season.
