"I thought we competed very well at this meet," WSU Director of Cross Country/Track & Field
Wayne Phipps said. "We had several personal bests and a majority improved on their ranking going into the meet. We also had several people who were agonizingly close to making it to the NCAA finals. Although we don't have the total number of NCAA finalists for which we hoped, the athletes that we did qualify are very strong. This will be a group that expects podium finishes in Eugene."
