PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State University and Women's Head Volleyball Coach
Jen Greeny have agreed to a contract extension, Cougars interim Director of Athletics
John Johnson announced Wednesday. The agreement will run through June of 2023.

"The Cougars volleyball program has continued to build and find success under Jen's leadership," Johnson said. "I was pleased with our performance this past season and am looking forward to watching the program continue to grow."

Greeny led the Cougars to their second consecutive NCAA Championship Tournament Second Round appearance in spite of losing a pair of starters to injury during the season. WSU was one of nine Pac-12 teams to compete in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. The Cougars defeated Florida State in the first round before falling to No. 5 and national semi-finalist Nebraska in the second round in Lincoln. Greeny's record in 109-120 in seven seasons at WSU and 221-144 in 11 seasons as a head coach. She was the 2016 Pac-12 Coach of the Year.

For the second consecutive year, WSU had six players named to the Pac-12 All-Academic teams in the 2017 season and senior
Casey Schoenlein was received the prestigious Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.

The Cougars will have 14 veteran players from the 2017 squad for the Fall 2018 season.
