THIS WEEK
Washington State heads to Columbus, Ohio for the annual Ohio State Invitational held Friday, Nov. 17 - Sunday, Nov. 19 at the McCorkle Aquatics Pavilion.

LAST SEASON'S INVITE
Last season, the Cougars finished ninth at the Ohio State Invite with 147.5 points. Hannah Bruggman tied for 13th in the 100 free at the event. Jasmine Margetts, Ryan Falk, Luci Brock, and Taylor Shewchuk also swam well for WSU. Margetts took home 16th in the 200 back, Falk placed 23rd in the 1650 free, Brock finished 34th in the 200 fly, and Shewchuk took 39th in the 200 breast. The Cougars placed 11th and 20th in the 400 Free Relay.

LAST TIME IN THE POOL
The Cougars are back in action after traveling to California to take on USC and UCLA in late October. WSU fell to USC 162-100, taking home four first place finishes. Emily Cook took two individual first place finishes in the 100 and 200 back; and was a member of the third place 400 Medley Relay team with teammates Clothilde Peseux, Anna Brolin, and Hannah Bruggman. Peseux and Bruggman also added great times to their repitoire. Peseux placed first in the 100 breast, and Bruggman placed second in both the 50 and 100 free. Jasmine Margetts finished first in the 400 IM against USC. The Cougars placed firstin two events in the loss against UCLA. Bruggman took first in the 50 free, and second in both the 100 free and 200 Medley Relay with teammates Cook, Linnea Lindberg, and Brolin. The 400 Free Relay team of Ciera Kelly, Alba Fores, Chloe Larson, and Rachel Thompson placed first in the event. Cook continued to perform well, taking second in the 100 back and third in the 200 back.

NEWCOMERS MAKING A SPLASH
The newcomers continue to have outstanding performances in the pool; combining for a total of seven individual wins in the first three meets of the season. Emily Cook leads the way for the newcomers with six individual wins, including the 100 back against No. 24 Arizona with a time that falls into the NCAA "B" standard time. Cook is also a member of four winning relays. Clothilde Peseux has two individual wins on the season. Sam Howell and Taylor McCoy have one win each. Mackenzie Duarte and Alba Fores each placed in the Top-Three in their first home meet of the season taking second in the 200 breast and third in the 100 free, respectively.

COMING UP
The Cougars will be back in the pool Jan. 13 when they welcome Pac-12 foe Arizona State to Gibb Pool. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
