Cougs Head to Pac-12 Preview

THIS WEEK: The WSU women's golf team is set to face conference competitors when the Cougars compete in the Pac-12 Preview in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. The tournament will take place Monday, Oct. 23Â through Tuesday Oct. 24.

THE COURSE: Nanea Golf Club is a 6,112-yard track at a par-73, and was designed by Bandon Dunes architect David McLay Kidd in 2003…the course has hosted the Pac-12 Preview the past four years.
 THE FIELD: Joining host-school Hawaii in field will be the entire Pac-12, including Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Washington, and Washington State.

LAST TIME ON THE GREEN: The Cougars finished in fourth place in the Ron Moore Invitational in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, October 8th. The team shot a collective 862(-2). Sophomore Marie Lund-Hansen tied for second place with a 208(-8) three round score.

REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE: Competing for the Cougar women will be seniors Bree Wanderscheid and Alivia Brown, junior Madison Ordiorne, and redshirt freshman Emily Baumgart.

COACHING STAFF: This will be Kelli Kamimura's ninth season as head coach…last season, Kamimura led the Cougars to their second-lowest team scoring average in school history…WSU alumna Emma Betland is entering her third season as assistant coach…Betland golfed for WSU from 2010-2013.
