THIS WEEK
Washington State welcomes former swimmers for the Cougar Alumni Meet at Gibb Pool Saturday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. This is the 40th Cougar swimming season in program history.

MARGETTS SELECTED TO COMPETE IN USA COLLEGE CHALLENGE
Swimming stars from the Pac-12 Conference will compete against members of the USA Swimming National Team in the second edition of the USA College Challenge later this month. Jasmine Margetts, a junior for the Cougars, has been selected to compete. Margetts has had an impressive career for WSU. This season, she leads the Cougars with five individual wins, including a WSU Top-10 Time in the 1000 free. Margetts has led WSU in individual wins each year, posting 14 her rookie season and eight in her sophomore season. The meet is set for Saturday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m.

LAST TIME IN THE POOL
The Cougars recorded five wins, but dropped a highly competitive Pac-12 opener to No. 24 Arizona, 161-101 Saturday, Oct. 14. Hannah Bruggman and Emily Cook has outstanding performances for the Cougars, each claimed two races and both were members of the winning 200 Meldey Relay Team, alongside teammates Linnea Lindberg and Anna Brolin. Also notching wins for WSU were juniors Jasmine Margetts (200 fly) and Clothilde Peseux (200 breast).

NEWCOMERS MAKING A SPLASH
The newcomers comtinue to have outstanding performances in the pool; combining for a total of seven individual wins in the first three meets of the season. Emily Cook leads the way for the newcomers with four individual wins, including the 100 back against No. 24 Arizona with a time that falls into the NCAA "B" standard time. Cook is also a member of four winning relays. Sam Howell, Clothilde Peseux, and Taylor McCoy have one win each. Mackenzie Duarte and Alba Fores each placed in the TopThree in their first home meet of the season taking secon din the 200 breast and third in the 100 free, respectively.

COMING UP
The Cougars will travel to California to take on USC Oct. 26 at 6:15 p.m. and UCLA Oct. 28 at 11 a.m.
