PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University President Kirk Schulz formally introduced
John Johnson as the WSU's Interim Director of Athletics Tuesday afternoon.
Johnson has served as a Senior Associate Athletic Director since joining Washington State in 2004, at various times overseeing WSU's athletic foundation operations, facility planning and external administrative areas. Johnson, a native of Spokane, Wash., was previously the Director of Athletics at Eastern Washington (1993-97) and Weber State (1997-2004).
Johnson assumes the role of interim director after former Cougar Director of Athletics
Bill Moos left for the same position at the University of Nebraska.
