TUCSON, Ariz. --Â Led by sophomore Aaron Whalen, the Washington State men's golf team is in 12th place (+38, 548) after one and a half rounds of play at the Arizona Intercollegiate, Monday, at the Sewailo Golf Club. The second round was postponed due to darkness and will resume Tuesday.Â
The top three is comprised of Pac-12 competitors Oregon, California, and Washington. Fellow Pac-12 schools Arizona and UCLA are in eighth and 11th place, respectively.
Sophomore Aaron Whalen is in the top-25, tied for 16th place after shooting 6-over (131) on the day. Senior Nick Mandell trails Whalen by two strokes with a score of 133 and is tied for 26th.Â
Sophomore AJ Armstrong is tied for 51st. Juniors Derek Bayley and Zach Anderson are tied for 67th and 70th, respectively.Â
