PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State women's basketball will host its 10th annual Cougs Have Heart game, Sunday, Jan. 22 against No. 8 Washington to help support and raise awareness in the fight against heart disease. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.
Cougar head coach June Daugherty, herself a survivor of sudden cardiac arrest, has been one of the nation's most visible spokespeople for heart health awareness since coming to Washington State in 2007.
The first 300 fans will receive "Cougs Have Heart" t-shirts and Health Care Professionals and CPR certified fans can purchase tickets for just $2. In addition to the game, the Cougs will sponsor heart healthy activities on the concourse with participants getting the chance to take home Cougar Swag.
The day will also feature Girls Scouts Day with all girl scouts who come in uniform receiving a ticket to the day's contest.Â
