Cougars Add Johanna Muzet to Upcoming Class

Muzet is a 6-0 guard from Lyon, France and will join the Cougars this fall.
PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State Women's Basketball Head Coach June Daugherty announced Wednesday the addition of guard Johanna Muzet to the 2016 recruiting class.

Muzet, a 6-0 guard from Lyon, France will join the team this fall. Muzet has spent the past four years playing in Lyon's basketball program, part of France's Ligue Feminine de Basketball (LFB) and helped 'La Griffe' finish runner-up in the French 3rd Division this June. She averaged 10.4 ppg and 2.8 rpg in 24.5 minutes of play. In 2014, Muzet competed with France at the FIBA U17 World Championships, averaging 4.6 ppg and 1.4 rpg.

"Johanna is a great addition to this talented group of freshmen," Daugherty said. "She has tremendous experience playing at a high level in European and world championships. She's a fundamentally sound player with great length and quick feet. We're excited to welcome her to our Cougar family."

Muzet in the fifth member of signing class, joining Chanelle Molina (Guard - Kailua Kona, Hawaii), Cameron Fernandez (Guard - Makawao, Hawaii), Kayla Washington (Forward - San Bernardino, Calif.), and Jovana Subasic (Forward – Sabac, Serbia).
