WSU Soccer Places Ten on Pac-12 All-Academic Teams

PULLMAN, Wash. – Susie White was named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team, and Sofia Anker-Kofoed was named to the second team, Monday, highlighting 10 Cougars who earned classroom accolades.

A redshirt-senior defender, White owns a 3.88 GPA and is an elementary education major. The first team selection marks her fourth Pac-12 academic award. It is the third-consecutive year White has been selected to the first team, and is now the 10th-straight year the Cougars have placed a student-athlete on the first team, the longest active streak in the conference. White earned honorable mention in 2013.

Anker-Kofoed, a junior midfielder, earned her second-consecutive selection to the second team. She is a psychology major and owns a 3.86 GPA. This is the second-consecutive year that two or more Cougar student-athletes have earned spots on the conference all-academic first or second teams.

Senior forward Kaitlyn Johnson, and junior defenders Jordan Branch and Kelsee Crenshaw, each received honorable mention selections, along with junior midfielder Chelsea Harkins. Four sophomores also received honorable mentions; defenders Grace Hancock and Maegan O'Neill, midfielder Maddy Haro and redshirt-sophomore goalkeeper Ella Dederick.

Crenshaw is an apparel merchandising textiles major and holds a 3.08 GPA. Hancock is a sport science major and boasts a 3.73 GPA, Haro is a journalism and media production major and owns a 3.53 GPA while O'Neill has yet to declare her major and owns a 3.13 GPA.

Johnson is a humanities major, owns a 3.50 GPA and has been selected honorable mention in all three of her years of eligibility for the award. Branch, who has a 3.20 GPA while majoring in zoology, and Dederick, a humanities major with a 3.01 GPA, each took home the honor for the second-straight year.
