NO. 25 WSU VOLLEYBALL EARNS NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS TOURNAMENT BID
The Washington State University volleyball team received an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament Sunday...the Cougars, 21-11 overall, 11-9 for fifth place in Pac-12 Conference, will play the Marquette Golden Eagles (23-8), runners-up in the Big East Conference and making their sixth-straight NCAA tournament appearance, in the Thurs., Dec. 1 First Round...host, No. 3 seed Wisconsin (25-4) plays Howard (26-5) in the First Round...the matches take place in the Wisconsin Field House (capacity 6,012) in Madison...WSU vs. Marquette is at 3 p.m. PT and Wisconsin vs. Howard is at 5:30 p.m. PT...the winners advance to the Second Round, Dec. 2, in a 5 p.m. PT match...the Wisconsin Badgers are averaging 5,977 fans per match match this season, which ranks third nationally, and have sold out the facility 10 times this season...this is the 11th trip to the NCAA Tournament for the WSU volleyball program and the first under sixth-year WSU Head Coach

Eight Pac-12 Conference teams are playing in the 2016 NCAA tournament: Washington, UCLA, Stanford, Oregon, Washington State, Utah, USC and Arizona...the Big 10 Conference has eight teams and the Big 12 Conference has six teams playing in the tournament.
