No. 18 WSU HEADS TO THE BAY AREA TO MEET STANFORD, CALIFORNIA
Here we go AGAIN!...second half of Pac-12 play begins this week...Washington State University volleyball team, 17-5 overall, 7-3 Pac-12, is ranked No. 18 in the Oct. 24 AVCA Coaches Top 25 Poll...Cougars are in a 3-way tie for second place in Pac-12 Conference...WSU plays at No. 17 Stanford (12-6, 6-4) Maples Pavilion Fri., Oct. 28 at 6 p.m...WSU plays at California (8-12, 2-8) Haas Pavilion Sat., Oct. 29 at 7 p.m...this is one of the rare times when WSU will play back-to-back nights in Pac-12 and both Stanford and Cal will have played No. 7 UW first...announcers for the Pac-12 TV's broadcast of the WSU-Stanford match are Krista Blunk and Dain Blanton...links are at wsucougars.com.

Jen Stinson Greeny is in her sixth season as WSU's head coach (86-97 at WSU, 6 years; 198-121 in career, 10 years) - complete Greeny bio on page 4...assistant coaches Burdette Greeny (sixth year) and Shannon Hunt (fourth year)...all coaches are former WSU student-athletes...volunteer coach Milan Vucinic (first year)...Katie Hinrichs is coordinator of operations (sixth year).

The WSU volleyball team is ranked No. 18 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Coaches Top 25 Poll for Week 9 (Oct. 24)...this is the second week at No. 18...WSU's highest AVCA 2016 ranking was 10th in the Oct. 3 poll after three consecutive upset wins (@No. 4 UW, @No. 9 UCLA, No. 9 Stanford) over Top 10 teams...previous AVCA rankings were: No. 17 (Sept. 26) - WSU's first top 25 ranking since the 2009 season (21st was highest that year) and No. 13 (Oct. 10)...WSU's highest ranking, No. 5 (Oct. 17, 1995) when Head Coach Jen Stinson Greeny and Asst.
