John David Wicker

Position: Asst. AD/Event and Facility Ops.

Associate Director of Athletics for Events and Facility Operations John David Wicker is in his seventh year at Washington State University. Wicker arrived at WSU in the summer of 2001 after spending two years as director of athletic facilities and event management at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Wicker is responsible for event planning and gameday responsibilities for all home athletic events, conference tournaments, and NCAA championships; day to day oversight and operations of all athletic facilities; and liaison for the athletic department on capital projects.

A 1992 graduate of Mississippi State University, Wicker spent three years at the University of Georgia prior to arriving at Southern Mississippi in August 1999. While at Georgia, Wicker received a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Sports Management. Wicker also worked with the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games in preparation for the 1996 summer event as the Venue Logistics Manager for Sanford Stadium, home to the medals rounds for men's and women's soccer.
