Men's Basketball

The Cougars extended their Pac-10 winning streak to six games as WSU defeated UCLA, 67-56, in front of a season-high crowd of 8,192 at Friel Court.

The win snapped WSU's eight-game losing streak to the Bruins, and was the first Cougar win in the series since 1988.

WSU used a 14-2 run midway through the first half to take a 24-14 lead, and the Cougars went into the half with a 29-22 advantage.

After the Bruins rallied to tie the game at 45, Bennie Seltzer put the Cougars up for good with a 3-pointer at the 6:43 mark of the second half.

The last time the Cougars won six consecutive conference games was during the 1983 NCAA season.
