Baseball
The WSU baseball team won the second game 5-1 in a three-game series with Washington but lost the first (12-3) and the third (5-1). The Cougars dropped to 27-22 overall and 6-12 in the Pacific-10.

Jayson Miller threw a complete game in the Cougars' victory over the Huskies.
Jim Murphy hit a two-run home run in the victory and now has a career-total of 31 home runs.
Paul Gran hit his 10th home run of the season in the first game, good for three runs.

Tennis
In the first appearance at the NCAA tournament since 2002, the No. 42 WSU tennis team lost to No. 27 Louisiana State 5-0. The Cougars wrapped up the season with a 16-10 record, the most victories since the 1996 season. No. 47 Ekaterina Burduli is scheduled to compete in the NCAA Singles Championships next week.

Track and Field
Rickey Moody represented the WSU men's track and field team at the Pac-10 Track and Field Championships in the decathlon. Moody finished second with 7,604 points. Moody already had an NCAA Automatic Qualifying total of 7,787 prior to the Pac-10 meet.

Angela Jensen and Jalisa Williams represented the WSU women's track and field team at the Pac-10 Track and Field Championships in the heptathlon. Jensen placed 14th with 4,472 points and Williams finished 18th with 3,934 points.
