PULLMAN, Wash. - Men's golf Hank Frame and swimming's Michaela Ahlin earned WSUCougars.com Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 19-25.

Michaela Ahlin

Frame (Spokane, Wash.) emerged victorious at the Georgetown Intercollegiate on Oct. 20, winning the first tournament of his young collegiate career. The win came with some drama as the freshman birdied the final hole to win the tournament by a single stroke, finishing the tournament at one-over par. Frame is the first WSU freshman to win a tournament since teammate Nick Ellis did it during the 2007-08 season.

Frame is the third Cougar to win a tournament this year. Kevin Tucker earned his at the Palouse Collegiate to open the season and Trent Sanders beat the field at the Giustina Memorial. It is the second time in school history that three different players have finished atop the individual leaderboard, the first came during the 2001-02 season when Cougar greats Isaac Woods, Dustin White and Jon Reehoorn each won an event.

Ahlin (Tyreso, Sweden) was named the Debbie Pipher Memorial Invitational Swimmer of the Meet after winning three individual events (100 fly, 200 fly, 500 free) and being a part of three winning relay teams (400 medley, 800 free, 200 medley). The senior set a meet record in the 100 butterfly on the first day of the meet (Oct. 23), and broke her own meet record in the 200 butterfly the following day.
