SEATTLE - The Bonneville Seattle Media Group and Washington State University (WSU) Athletics announced today Cougar football and men's basketball will move to 710 ESPN Seattle beginning this fall - providing expanded coverage to Cougar fans in Western Washington.

In addition to increasing the reach of the Washington State IMG College Radio Network, the Cougars will feature a new football broadcast team. Returning for his 46th season calling Cougar football, and future hall-of-fame broadcaster, Bob Robertson, will be partnered in the booth with Bud Nameck, who transitions from sideline reporter to help call the game action. In turn, Jessamyn McIntyre, 710 ESPN Seattle producer, will make her debut as the Cougar sideline reporter. New to the broadcast team will be Shawn McWashington, former Cougar wide receiver, who will provide game analysis.

Cougar gameday broadcasts will include a two-hour pregame and one-hour postgame football show and a 30-minute pre and postgame show for men's basketball.

710 ESPN will air a weekly season-long segment featuring WSU head coach Mike Leach heard during the "Kevin Calabro Show with Jim Moore" along with special Cougar Athletics programming on both 710 ESPN Seattle and KTTH 770 AM. In addition, a WSU section and archived game podcasts will be highlighted on the 710 Sports page of MyNorthwest.com.

In the first of a three-year agreement, which began in the Fall of 2011, Cougar football and men's basketball games were heard exclusively in the Seattle area on 770 KTTH AM. Starting in September of 2012, 710 ESPN will broadcast the WSU football and men's basketball games. Conflicts will air on 770 KTTH AM.

"Our first year in partnership with Bonneville provided unprecedented coverage of Cougar football and men's basketball," said WSU Director of Athletics Bill Moos. "To have our games broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle, one of the strongest radio signals in the Pacific Northwest, allows Cougar fans greater access to be part of this exciting time in WSU Athletics."

"We are excited and proud to be able to provide our sports fans with Washington State Cougar football and basketball play-by-play," said Dave Pridemore 710 ESPN VP / General Manager. "I'm confident our audience will enjoy our expanded coverage of Pac-12 Athletics."
