Chat with Washington State mascot Butch T. Cougar Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 3 p.m. PT.

Moderator: Good afternoon Cougars! We have a special guest for today's live chat, Butch T. Cougar! Before we begin, just a quick reminder that there's still time to vote for the Homecoming uniform. Voting ends at 5 p.m. so click the link at the top of this page and cast your vote! Butch, I know you're busy preparing for Homecoming so thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to join us.
Butch: No problem. I was just taking a quick cat nap before this. Looking forward to answering questions from my fellow Cougs.
Moderator: Okay, let's get right to it.

Ryan (Pullman): What does the T. in "Butch T. Cougar" stand for?
Butch: Ryan, the T stands for "Tiberius." No, just kidding! That would be my good friend, James Kirk. The T stands for "The."

Cougar Lance (Olympia): What are the best Pac-12 fans you've met (besides WSU) on the road??
Butch: Cougar Lance, there are none better than the WSU fans who live outside of Washington. They would be the best!

Peter (Pullman): Butch, you've been around for a quite a long time. How do you keep so fit and look so young?
Butch: Peter, it's a very strict diet I follow of "Buffalo" wings, hot "Dawgs," roasted "Duck," and "Bear" claws... I think you get the point.

Ann (Seattle): Butch -- just a shout out thanking you for modeling the different uniforms -- so hard to choose when you look great in every combination of crimson and gray. Also, want you to address whether you are willing to be a write-in candidate for President? Just can't see the Oregon Duck in that role. But you, being the magnanimous, noble Cougar you are, would be terrific! Please let your supporters know of your intentions.
Butch: Ann, I can neither confirm or deny. I can't even wink.

HuskyMeat (Wallingford): If The Moon was made of cheese...would you eat it?
Butch: Only if it's made of Cougar Gold!

Casey (Pullman): Butch, will you be at the bon fire Friday?
Butch: Casey, yes I will! The better question is will you?

Nicole (Edmonds): Butch, will you bring the Cougar Marching Band with you to the Seattle game? We missed them dearly in Vegas!
Butch: Nicole, yes I will! Not only will I bring the band but the cheerleaders and the Crimson Girls, too!

Laura (Clarkston): How is Papa Butch? Will he be at Homecoming Saturday?
Butch: PawPaw Butch is resting at home and is going to watch the game on TV but he will be there for Dad's Weekend!

Ann (Seattle): Butch -- you have all of the makings of not only the great mascot, but a politician. :)
Butch: Thank you and I approve your message!

Tim (Paso): Hey Butch. Sweet new ride at the football game. You ever take that thing offroading?
Butch: Does the football field count?

Mike (Richland): Coke or Pepsi?
Butch: Coca-Cola Classic, if I can't have catnip.

Paula - Pullman: How old are you?
Butch: A Cougar never discusses his age.

Demetrius: BUTCH! When are you coming down to the Tri-Cities?! I need a wingman.
Butch: I try to come down from time to time. I know for sure I'll be there Dec. 29 for the men's basketball game vs. Idaho State. See you there!

Brandan (Pullman): Who can do the most pushups, u or the Oregon Duck?
Butch: Brandan, we'll find out in Seattle!

Ann (Seattle): Butch, do you have a favorite uniform going into the final hours of the uniform election?
Butch: Ann, any uniform that ends in a Cougar victory works for me!

Jason (Rockford): What do you do in your free time?
Butch: I like to live the "wild" life. I plan to sky dive next summer. In the meantime, I Wave The Flag whenever I have the chance.

Laura (Clarkston): We have season tickets for basketball and sit in the family section. Would you please come to the family section occasionally to meet all the kids?
Butch: My goal for every game is to see as many fans as I can, especially the kids. My favorite thing during a game or whatever event I'm at is to have my picture taken with Coug fans of all ages.

Marianne (Pullman): Butch, are you a cougar on the prowl (single)?
Butch: I am on the Cougar Prowl. Every home Saturday two and half hours before kickoff at the Cougar Pride statue. See you there!

Tim (Wales, UK): Notre Dame recently played in Dublin... when do I get to see my Cougs in Aberystwyth?
Butch: Tim, great to see I have fans all the way in the UK. I don't know when I'll be in Aberystwyth anytime soon, but we'll be on FX this Saturday and ESPN next weekend.

Andrew (Kirkland): What is your favorite stadium to visit during the season?
Butch: Martin Stadium, especially with the new renovations. It's awesome!

Nicole (Edmonds): Butch, who is your all-time favorite Cougar football player?
Butch: Nicole, I've been around to see most of them play, I wouldn't know where to begin. It's been awesome that I've been able to watch so many great players. It's hard to pick just one.

Mike (Spokane): Any chance of seeing you on College Game Day waving the flag?
Butch: I hope one day, but until then I want to give a shout out to all the great Cougs who continue the tradition of Waving The Flag on the show.
Butch: I hope one day, but until then I want to give a shout out to all the great Cougs who continue the tradition of Waving The Flag on the show.
Moderator: Okay, that's all the time we have. We'll let Butch get back to preparing for Homecoming.
Butch: Great questions everybody! Hope to see all of you Saturday at the game. Go Cougs!
