Additionally, Moos talks about the community service efforts by WSU student-athletes during the fall semester culminated by Butch's Bash, Dec. 6 at the Hollingbery Fieldhouse on the WSU campus (see below video). Over 200 student-athletes volunteered for the community holiday event, which collected over 1,000 pounds of canned food products for Palouse Cares. In all, WSU student-athletes contributed over 1,600 hours of community service to the greater Pullman community during the fall semester.
"It is part of what we're about here in Cougar Athletics," said Moos. "It illustrates the full experience students have not just in the field of competition, not just in the classroom, but also as role models and ambassadors for Washington State."
