Tuesday saw the Cougars return to their regular 3:45 practice time, holding a two-hour workout in full pads on Rogers Field...here is the video from coach Wulff's weekly teleconference...a practice recap link is below.
once again, the Cougs focused on special teams during the first couple segments...kicker Andrew Furney connected was a perfect 6-for-6 in his attempts, finishing the segment from 47 yards out...following a couple individual sessions, they went through a two-minute drill where Jeff Tuel connected to Jeff Karstetter on a deep over the shoulder catch for nice gain...the Cougs then went through some more individual segments that focused on Idaho State...after a short session of team where Marquess Wilson caught a couple deep balls from Tuel, the offense and defense then split into two fields and again worked out against the scout teams who ran through some Idaho State formations...the practice ended with a team segment that saw the defense make some nice plays, shutting down the No. 1 offense on a couple plays before cornerback Daniel Simmons picked off a Tuel pass and would have had nothing but endzone in front of him...the Cougs continue preparations for the Bengals tomorrow at 3:45 p.m...here is the video from coach Wulff's weekly teleconference...GO COUGS!
