The Cougars continued preparations for Idaho State Wednesday, working out for two hours in full pads...
The Cougs worked through the
typical segments of special teams early on before breaking into individual
segments...later on, there were a couple segments that focused on kickoff
coverage and return...in a final couple team segments, the defense shined for the
second straight day, playing with a ton of energy and nearly coming away with a
3 or 4 interceptions...Tracy Clark picked off a pass and there were a couple more
picks in the skelly drill...The No. 1 offense was clicking late as Jeff Tuel
connected with Isiah Barton for a long gain in 11-vs-11...Tuel hit Marquess
Wilson and Andrei Lintz for touchdown passes during a redzone drill...perhaps the
biggest highlight for the offense was when Connor Halliday hit Bennett Bontemps
for a long touchdown pass, causing the offense to erupt with some yells of
excitement...there was a lot more energy at practice today, a lot more players
making noise, either making calls during plays or yells of encouragement during
a drill and after a big play...game day is certainly getting closer...tomorrow's
practice will again be at 3:45 p.m....GO COUGS!
