Cougar alumnus and 1998 Rose Bowl team member Shawn McWashington was in Pullman to speak at the WSU Mentor's Workshop, Monday. Among the many topics McWashington spoke about was how to be an effective mentor to student-athletes. The WSU student-athlete mentor program is designed to help student-athletes prepare for success in life, inside and outside the realm of athletics, and offer assistance to student-athletes to meet their changing needs.
