June Daugherty Press Conference

It is Husky week and the Cougars are returning to practice today after two days off. Earlier today, June Daugherty met with the media to discuss Saturday's game vs. Washington. You can watch the highlights below.

As a reminder, the Cougars face Washington at 5:30 p.m., Saturday at Beasley Coliseum. Note that this is a time change from 7:30 p.m. to accommodate television. The game will be broadcast live on FSN Northwest.

Washington State University's Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) collected donations for flood relief in Australia at the last two men's basketball games against Stanford and California, Feb. 10 and 12. The idea came about from WSU men's basketball sophomore Brock Motum, a native of Brisbane, Australia.

Pink Zone Games at Stanford and Cal

Last weekend's games at Stanford and Cal were the PINK ZONE games for each school in honor of breast cancer awareness. For each game, the Cougar players and coaches wore pink shoes as well as other pink attire.

Check out PHOTOS of the Cougs wearing the shoes at each game last week.

The team will be wearing the shoes again this Saturday for their Pink Zone game against Arizona State at Beasley Coliseum at 1 p.m. Check out the video spot below with comments from June Daugherty.

Cougars Sink California 75-71.

Washington State was able to make enough free throws down the stretch to hold off California and salvage a split weekend series with a 75-71 win at Friel Court, Saturday. Both the Cougars and Golden Bears came out looking sluggish after suffering tough losses earlier in the week, but after the halftime break the quality of play improved as players found their shooting strokes late in the game.

Cougars Comeback Not Enough to Shut Down Cardinal

Washington State dropped to 6-6 in Pac-10 play after a 75-62 loss to Stanford, Thursday at Friel Court. After trailing by 17 at the half, the Cougars were able to bounce back and draw within one with 8:30 left in the game, but ran out of gas as the Cardinal regained their stride in the closing minutes.
