Next, we will address today's practice:
I don't have a lot, because I have been taking care of a number of things today. But what I can report is that senior safety Chima Nwachukwu returned to practice, albeit in a yellow, non-contact jersey, and redshirt senior defensive tackle Bernard Wolfgramm also practiced.
Freshman quarterback Connor Halliday has been absolutely amazing since his arrival on campus, and he doesn't make a lot of mistakes. Redshirt freshman safety Casey Locker made a diving interception of a Halliday pass in the end zone today. It wasn't exactly a mistake on Halliday's part, more of an amazing play on Locker's. I definitely thought it was worth mentioning.
And finally, Cougar fans, this will be my last post. Tomorrow will be my last day at Washington State University. After we wrap up the final round of the Cougar Cup at Palouse Ridge, and then after I get the last bits and pieces of my office in order, I will jump in my Jeep and head to Boise to become the Sports Information Director at Boise State University.
Having the opportunity to come back to my alma mater and work with the staff, coaches and student-athletes at this great University the last few years has been an absolute dream. In all actuality, I didn't think I would have this opportunity until later in my career. But it happened, and it has led to more opportunities for myself and my family. For that I am forever grateful, and forever indebted to this University and its constituents - including each and every one of you.
I learned from Craig Lawson, one of my fellow assistants in the office, that whatever you are doing in life, the best thing you can do is leave something in better shape than when you got there. It was a mantra I have and will continue to live by, and I am hopeful that this is also the case with my position at Washington State.
It has been a pleasure my friends...
