Hey Coug Fans,
While most people think of the Labor Day weekend as a chance to grill their favorite meal, reunite with family and relax, the Washington State women's swim team uses the long weekend to prepare for the upcoming season.
Each Labor Day the Coug swimmers head to the Granite Point for the start of the Snake River Challenge. The student-athletes start at Granite Point, swim 2.2 miles to Wawawai Landing, then make the 2.2 mile run back to Granite Point.
More on the story and video after the jump.
Jennifer Dean crossed the finish line first this year to defend her Snake River Challenge crown. Sarah Hicks and Melissa Bogert took second and third, respectively.
