Quarterback Jeff Tuel and the gang are starting to find their rhythm. Tight end Skylar Stormo and wide receiver Jared Karstetter have been slowed due to injuries, but they both looked completely healthy this morning. Stormo hauled in a big gain from Tuel, and Karstetter scored during one of the scrimmage sessions. LeAndre Daniels thought Karstetter was bobbling as he rolled out of bounds on the side of the end zone, but my ruling stands - it was a catch.
The Marquess Wilson Show continued today, as he went over the top of a defender to notch another amazing grab. Redshirt senior wide receiver Jeffrey Solomon also continued what has been an impressive camp, catching a couple touchdown passes from Tuel.
Freshman safety Deone Bucannon's name has been cropping up all week, but today he turned in his most impressive play since arriving in Pullman. Bucannon reached out with one hand and snatched a pass out of mid air, hauled it in and nearly returned it for a touchdown.
Later in another scrimmage session, Bucannon played the role of immovable object to redshirt junior running back Logwone Mitz's unstoppable force. What happens when the two meet? Loud noises...and the play is over.
Today's afternoon session will get going at 3:30 p.m. Until then...
