WSU Head Coach Tony Bennett

On WSU's offense...
"We had a little trouble handling the zone but I liked that we didn't panic and then we started attacking on the right plays."

On Klay Thompson's defense
"The defense was solid, Klay did a good job on their leading scorer. I thought we were stingy defensively and protected home court. His length can be a factor. It's a little harder to shoot over Klay because he's longer."

On Aron Baynes' performances this season...
"He was good. They had a couple of bigger kids and I thought he did a nice job, I was happy with him. We played solid."

On the play by the freshmen at the end of the game...
"I challenged them. I was a little disappointed, at the six-minute mark I put them in and told them the score was 0-0. They didn't win the last six minutes, I told them this is valuable time. It's valuable time for them, it's a privilege to be on the court. They worked hard, but they need to keep improving. But it is good experience for them."

On offensive rebounding...
"We made a couple of adjustments. Obviously it was a different team than Pitt that we played, but we have to try and challenge the glass. We have to drive a little bit more, I thought we were a little better in those areas, against a different opponent of course.

On DeAngelo Casto...
"You're not always going to be banging your shots, so you need to get second chance points. I just love the way he shows on ball screens, he's one of the best I've seen at getting out there. That just helps our defense get set. That's a valuable thing and he did a great job with that. Hopefully he'll keep developing."

On rebounding from the loss to Pitt...
"In the pregame I told the guys, 'I'm tired, I'm concerned that you're tired and you're going to overlook this team.' They don't worry about how they feel or what's ahead of them, they do what they have to do and that was my challenge to them. Again, Idaho State was missing one of their better players, so I can take all of that into account. But you play the game, and I thought they respected the opponent and went about it the right way."

On WSU's next opponent, Baylor...
"They had us down there and we had a dramatic comeback (last season). They're much better this year, they have an inside presence. I know Coach Drew thinks he has a pretty special team. Their guards shoot a lot of 3's. They play off the dribble, they can play fast, they have athleticism and size. They're one of the better teams you're going to see. They handled Arizona State pretty well. It will test everything that we think is important on Saturday night; transition defense, contesting shots and being sound with the ball and making them work."

WSU Senior Guard Taylor Rochestie

On taking care of the ball tonight...
"I think a little bit of that soundness with hand-to-hand passes. We had a possession or two where we got a little lazy, during a timeout, coach told us `no lazy passes.' Just try and play good basketball and prepare for the games we have coming up."

On Charlie Enquist's performance at the end of the game...
"First and foremost, he makes about 90 percent of those in practice, on Baynes, so I think Baynes can talk about it a little better than I can."

WSU Senior Center Aron Baynes

On starting strong...
"We had to come out with some enthusiasm, we had to come out with some intensity. We had to play how we did earlier in the year. It was good to see the guys come out and put their best foot forward. We still have some things to work on though."

On Charlie Enquist's performance at the end of the game...
"Charlie is a workhorse for us in practice. He makes us better. Anytime we can get practice players in there, that's important for us. That gives us a chance to see what they can do. Down the road we may need some of these guys to step in."
