Klay Thompson's 25 points rank second in WSU's record books for single-game NIT scoring...he bettered Isaac Fontaine's 23 against Illinois State, March 20, 1995 and Mark Hendrickson's 24 March 14, 1996 against Gonzaga.
• Thompson's nine free throws (9-for-10) are tied for the third most in a single NIT game by a WSU player.
• Washington State's eight blocked shots tie for second-most by the Cougars this season and set a school single-game NIT record.
• WSU improved to 5-4 in the NIT...is 4-0 when hosting an NIT game.
Faisal Aden scored in double-figures for the fourth-consecutive game, finished with 19 points.
DeAngelo Casto moved into fifth on WSU's single-season blocks list with four blocks...he now has 51 on the season...his four blocks tie his season high.
• Long Beach State's 18 first half points are tied for third fewest by a Cougar opponent in a first half this season.
• Their 18 first-half points are the 49ers' fewest in a first half this season.
• The second-seeded Cougars will host No. 3 Oklahoma State in the second round of the NIT, Monday, March 21 at 8:30 p.m. PT on ESPN2.
