Cougars, Trojans Snowed Out In First Game of Series

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The scheduled Pacific-10 Conference baseball game between the Washington State Cougars and the University of Southern California Trojans was cancelled Friday afternoon because of snow.

The game will be made up Saturday in a doubleheader. Both games will be nine inning contests with the first game starting at 12 p.m.

The original start time for Saturday's game was 1 p.m. Wade Parrish (4-1) and Jamaal Gaines (2-2) are scheduled to take the mound for the Cougars (15-7, 0-0) while Barry Zito (4-2) and Steve Smyth will get the nod for the Trojans (14-15, 5-1).
