Last Week: WSU dropped two Pac-10 games against UCLA and USC...against the Bruins, WSU took a 63-60 lead after a Marisa Stotler lay-in with 5:02 left in the game...UCLA regained the lead and would eventually put the Cougars away, 74-71...WSU fell to USC, 62-56, Sunday, Dec. 31...WSU trailed by one-point at halftime, 34-33, but wiped out the USC lead after a Kate Benz lay-in...for the next eight minutes the teams traded baskets, WSU then took its biggest lead of the night at 41-37 with 16:47 left to play...USC would tie the game at 44 on a Chloe Kerr lay-in, which sparked a 20-12 run...WSU would remain in striking distance, but never managed to take the lead from that point on.
The Series Against Arizona State: ASU leads the all-time series against the Cougars, 28-12...last season, the Sun Devils defeated Washington State 75-65 Jan. 26...last win for the Cougars occurred Feb. 28, 2004, in Pullman, with a 75-72 decision...last win for the Cougars in Tempe was Jan. 30, 1997, after WSU defeated ASU 86-78, the Cougars would end up sweeping Arizona that that year.
The Series Against Arizona: Arizona leads the all-time record against Washington State, 22-18...last time out WSU ended a seven game losing streak to Arizona to defeat the Wildcats 84-77, Jan. 28, 2006, in Pullman...WSU last beat Arizona in Tucson, Jan. 8, 1998, when the Cougars edged the Wildcats, 64-61.

Live with Stotler and Kelly: Freshmen Marisa Stotler and Nakejia Kelly are the top two scorers for WSU thus far this season...Stotler has recorded three double-doubles and has two 20-point games...her 10.9 points per game average is a team-high...Kelly averages 8.0 points per game.
Benz's Boards: Kate Benz recorded 9 rebounds during the L.A. schools trip to Pullman last week and now has 796 career rebounds...she moved past Jenni Ruff's 727 and sits in sole possession of third place on the WSU career list...Benz needs 58 rebounds to pass Janet Kusler, who is second on the all-time list with 853 rebounds...Benz needs 80 rebounds to claim the crown over the school record holder, Cassandra Overby (1981-84) who has 875...Benz is also the active career leader in rebounds among Pac-10 players.
