THIS WEEK: The Washington State soccer team (6-13-0, 1-7-0 Pacific-10) hosts archrival Washington in the final regular season match for the Cougars...match is Friday at 1:30 p.m...Huskies are 11-7-1, 4-4-0 Pac-10.

PROGRAM SUCCESS: Washington State has advanced to the last two NCAA Championships, the first time in school history the Cougars have made back-to-back postseason appearances.

SERIES WITH WASHINGTON: The Cougars lead 8-7-4...Washington State is 5-2-3 all-time in Pullman...Cougars are 4-0-2 in the last six meetings with the ties coming in each of the last two seasons...Washington's last win in the series was at home, Oct. 24, 2003 (2-0)...Cougars are 4-0-2 in the last six matches played in Pullman...last Huskies' victory on the road was Nov. 10, 1996 (2-0)...Washington has not scored during its last two trips to Lower Soccer Field.

HISTORIC VICTORY: Washington State's 1-0 victory over Pepperdine, Sept. 18 was the 200th in the history of the Cougar program, now in its 22nd season.

COUGAR HAT TRICKS: Freshman Micaela Castain recorded the 12th hat trick (third on the road) in Washington State history with three goals in the Cougars' 4-1 victory at Weber State, Sept. 5...freshman Eileen Maes notched a hat trick with three-second half goals against Gonzaga, Oct. 1 in a 4-0 Washington State victory...Maes became the sixth Cougar to register at least three goals in a match and the first since 2001.

CASTAIN NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED: Washington State forward Micaela Castain is currently ranked as the fifth-best freshman in the country by Valley, Calif., native leads the Cougars with six goals and 13 points this season.
