STEVINSON, Calif. - Washington State's Ryan Camp battled through the breezy conditions to fire a final round 73 (+1) to finish tied for 11th in the Sixth Annual Colorado-Stevinson Ranch Invitational at the Stevinson Ranch Golf Club, a par 72, 7,191 yard course Tuesday.
Camp, who fired his best round in the second with a 1-under 71, finished the 54-hole tournament at an even par 216 (72-71-73). He currently sits tied for fourth on WSU's all-time list for top 25 finishes. This was Camp's fourth top 25 finish in his last five tournaments and his third of the spring.
Jordan Madison ended the day in the top half of the field tied for 34th. Madison had his best round also in the second when he posted a 2-under 70. Madison finished with a 7-over 223 (75-70-78).
The Cougar squad put together a solid final round. Their 299 (+11) was good enough for them to jump two spots from Monday and finish in 10th place at 892 (+28). WSU fired their best round in the second with a 3-over 291.
Playing in his home state, Kevin Chen improved his positioning by 13 spots in the third round with his tournament best 74 (+2). Chen finished tied for 46th. Chad Carlson also moved up five spots with a final round 75 (+3) to tie for 60th. Logan Toskey rounded out the Cougar contingent by shooting his lowest round of the tournament and finished in 67th.
The Cougars will return to action April 5 for the Bite Pacific Coast Intercollegiate at Lompoc, Calif.
