Man, the emotions are running wild! I have dreamt of this day for years. To make it to the tournament--to be playing in the "big show."

Ever since I was little, I would watch on t.v. and idolize those girls who were playing. Now, we're here!! WSU women's soccer has made the first steps toward domination in the soccer world.

This team is one of, if not the most, amazing teams I've been on. Every single player works their butt off everyday--in hopes of becoming a better TEAM. We are in this together.

Tonight as we sat anticipating, hoping, dreaming, and stressing about our berth into the tournament, we watched hand-in-hand together. WE were all feeling nervous, especially when 45 of the 48 teams were called. There were only 2 spots left, since UW had one guaranteed.

We all sighed--held our breath, whatever to calm our nerves. Then, the 46th team was called--WSU! We immediately screamed and lost our minds. It was the most amazing feeling. Everyone was jumping up and down, hugging, and even crying. Then, we saw that we were going to host and that we played our rival Montana. What a great opportunity.

Pullman, Washington will be the host of the first round game of the women's soccer tournament. Our fans--our amazing, dedicated fans full of students, professors, parents, kids, and administrators will be able to enjoy this as well. These fans have helped guide us through the season--the cowbells, face paint, hill watchers and all the amazing support has really kept us going in those tough games. There is no better place to play soccer!

The day is coming. Hopes are high--confidence is there--and we haven't even played our best soccer yet. We're on our way! The WSU women's soccer team is here to stay. We are one unit, one family, and we are going to play our game on Wednesday!
