Men's Golf Moves Up One Spot in Final Round of Alister MacKenzie Invite

FAIRFAX, Calif. - The Washington State men's golf team moved up one position in the final day of competition to take 15th place overall at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, Tuesday. The men fired a three-round total of 864 and were led by senior Jordan Mason.

The Cougar squad shot 1-over par (285) on the final day of competition and moved ahead of Cal Poly to finish only two strokes out of 13th.

Mason finished the tournament at even par with the help of his final round score of 71. He finished the tournament in a tie for 38th with a three-round total of 213.

Sophomore Kevin Tucker also fared well in the final day of competition as he posted a 1-under 70. Tucker finished the tournament with a total score of 216.

Freshman Xavier Dailly ended the tournament well and finished two strokes behind teammate Tucker, with a two-day total of 218.

Sophomore Austin Hurt and freshman Nick Ellis both scored a three-round total of 222 to round out the Cougar scorers.

The Cougar men continue their fall season in San Diego, Calif., at the Aztec Invitational, Oct. 22-23.
