What's Happening This Week: The Washington State men's golf team will compete in its first tournament of the spring season when the Cougars travel to the 2010 ReBath Snowman Getaway, Feb. 22-23 at the par-72, 7,218-yard Cattail Course at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz...teams will play 36 holes Monday and 18 holes during the final round Tuesday...both days will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
The Field: The 13-team tournament field includes Air Force, Boise State, Bradley, Gonzaga, Idaho, Missouri, Missouri-Kansas City, Northern Colorado, Portland, Seattle, Utah Valley, Villanova and Washington State.
Traveling For The Cougars: Nine student-athletes will compete in the tournament...the five members playing as a team will be Nick Ellis, Austin Hurt, Paul Mitzel, Trent Sanders and Kevin Tucker...Hank Frame, Nick Grigsby, John Moon and Robert Murray will play as individuals.
Last Time Out: At the last tournament of the fall season the Cougars finished second at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate...four of the five competitors finished in the top 25, led by Sanders and Ellis who each finished tied for seventh at six-under par...Frame finished in a tie for 21st at 1-under while Tucker tied for 24th at even-par.
